UPDATE COPPERSTATE FLY-IN AND GUS’ CRACKER JACK

As you may have heard by now, we have acquired the first plans-built Cracker Jack built by Gus Geissinger back in 1986 and will be using it as our test aircraft for the engine.  Just before loading the Cracker Jack in the truck headed for the Copperstate Fly-In in Mesa, Arizona we did a test run to make sure she was ready for the show.  Here is my cameraphone video of that test run.

The show went well and having the engine mounted to an airframe instead of a test stand seemed to draw more attention.  We made several demonstration runs for the crowd, made some good contacts, met new friends and gave an engine forum to interested folks in attendance.  A very successful showing of the engine and Cracker Jack #1.
